August 2020 Update

Leavenheath Village Hall

As you are all aware apart from Ladybirds we are still closed to our hirers.   Ladybirds are providing a very important service for the preschool members of our community and their families, in order to do this they are having to follow very strict procedures.

In these unprecedented times the safety of our hirers and users is paramount.  We are hoping to reopen the Village Hall in January 2021 to our other hirers.  This will of course be dependent on government advice.  In order to reopen strict risk assessment and procedures will be put in place both by the village hall committee and our hirers, this is for everyone’s safety in stopping the spread of the Covid 19 virus.

Once the hall is reopened we can then plan the reopening of the village hall cinema but order to do this we would like your help!  In 2021 a few members of our dedicated cinema organisers are standing down after many years of valuable help for which we are very grateful.  If you interested in volunteering in helping behind the bar, training to be a projector operator or helping to choose films, we would love to hear from you.

On a less positive note, we have noticed that our wheelie bins at the village hall are being using by people other village hall for disposing of their garden and household waste, today this included kitchen tiles and a broken kettle.  PLEASE refrain from doing this as they are NOT for public use.

Our village hall committee are a friendly group and over the next few months have a lot to achieve in order for the village hall to open safely if you would like to join us or our cinema sub committee please contact me, I look forward to hearing from you.
