November: After the Storm

In November we showed ‘Behind the Candelabra’, we were lucky to get a delivery of ice cream just before the showing, as we had lost all our stock due to the power cut that followed ‘The Storm’, so a good evening was had by all. We were very lucky as the only other damage were had was one loose tile.  December’s film is ‘Nativity 2′. You can still book by phoning Ken or Lesley as well as online, there will be a glass of free mulled wine, or drink of your choice, as per usual for this Christmas film, we will also be holding a raffle, we look forward to seeing you there.

We should like to thank all of you who use the Village Hall Bottle Bank, this is a great source of income for us and has enabled us to maintain our hire prices over the last few years. However, with so many more bottle banks popping up in other local venues, we shall be watching closely how our revenue is affected, if the proceeds fall greatly we will indeed have to review our charges during the year.

November was a busy month but most of the events were held after this article has to go to print, I do hope they did well and your supported some of these worthy causes. We also purchased 6 small square tables, that have been available for many of these events, they have proved to be a very useful asset to the halls equipment.

Future events open to the public can be found on our web site.  as can the times and details of the many clubs and regular activities.

The Village Hall Committee would like to wish you all a very Happy Christmas, a properous and healthy New Year.

Forthcoming events are: Sun Dec 1st  – 1st Sunday Church Service

Sat Dec 7th -  Film Night ‘Nativity 2′

Sun Dec 15th – Evening Songs of Praise.
